Our favorite royal-turned-lifestyle guru, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (née Markle), has been dangling the possibility of venturing into the wine business for awhile now, and we can finally confirm the rumors are true: Meghan’s lifestyle brand As Ever debuted a wine label this week with a 2023 Napa Valley rosé.
Meghan’s people (Meghan herself isn’t talking about it just yet …) told Unfiltered that As Ever rosé channels Provence in style, and is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah—perfect, we imagine, for a poolside refresher at your Montecito mansion (or wherever your As Ever daydreams take you), granted, with a 14.5 percent alcohol kick.
A Napa Collaboration
The wine is reportedly a collaboration with Fairwinds Estate, a Calistoga winery with numerous collaborations ranging from the University of Houston to Barry Manilow to the Yellowstone TV show. Her representatives also tell us the wine “captures the essence of celebration, inviting wine lovers to toast all the moments that matter most—both big and small.”
Sold exclusively at wine.asever.com, the ex-royal rosé was available in $90 three-packs of 750ml bottles, but the first release sold out in under an hour. Fear not, Sussex Squad, there’s plenty of great rosé out there this summer for less than $30 a bottle.
Meghan Is No Stranger To Good Wine
Meghan’s fondness for good vino is well-documented. Before her marriage to Prince Harry, and in addition to her starring role on Suits, she ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig, named for Tignanello, her favorite super Tuscan. She’s also been known to enjoy Flowers Pinot Noir from Sonoma. In her Netflix lifestyle show With Love, Meghan, we were treated to her culinary and hostess expertise, which was always paired with a craft cocktail or glass of wine. Among her well-selected on-screen pours were Taittinger Brut Champagne Reserve NV and Domaines Ott Côtes de Provence Rosé, the latter of which may have served as some As Ever rosé inspo.

Meghan introduced her premium lifestyle brand As Ever at the same time as her Netflix series launched, selling an array of products from fresh fruit preserves, teas and honeys to more exotic fare, such as “flower sprinkles” (exactly what it sounds like), with additional products rolling out seasonally, kind of like the Duchess’ own Williams Sonoma (except definitely no Williams here!).
If you’re still heartbroken to miss out on the summer’s most aristocratic rosé, rest assured that there are more As Ever wines on the way, including a traditional method Napa sparkler and varietal still wines. And as ever, Royal Wine Watch will be ready to report.
