Cassia Schifter joined Wine Spectator in 2015 and was promoted to associate tasting coordinator in 2019.
She is from Washington, D.C., and earned a degree in English from Amherst College. A former head cheesemonger for Murray's Cheese, she pivoted to the wine industry in 2013. Schifter is a regular contributor to WineSpectator.com's editorial content, producing Tasting Highlights and appearing in educational videos. She loves Popeye's, the Wizards, and lives in Tribeca with her dog, Puggsy Bogues.
