Bordeaux has begun its annual en primeur tastings, when the wine trade tastes the region's most recent vintage for the first time. Wine Spectator senior editor James Molesworth is in Bordeaux, tasting the 2024 wines from barrel at some of the region's top estates and sharing his tasting notes. His latest visits are to châteaus Pichon Baron, Pichon Lalande and Lynch Bages in Pauillac for a look at the newest wines in barrel, plus exciting new wines to watch from some of Bordeaux's more affordable properties, and a sweet treat: the 2024 Sauternes from Suduiraut.
