Bordeaux has begun its annual en primeur tastings, when the wine trade tastes the region's most recent vintage for the first time. Wine Spectator senior editor James Molesworth is in Bordeaux, tasting the 2024 wines from barrel at some of the region's top estates and sharing his tasting notes. His latest visits are to châteaus Pétrus, Trotanoy, Bélair-Monange, Le Gay and more in Pomerol and St.-Emilion for a look at the newest wines in barrel.
